Decking gap inserts
Deck board gap inserts prevent valuables falling between decking boards and can be inserted with ease. A deck gap insert is a rigid strip of material that sits between the deck boards.
Note: Our gap inserts only work on our Explorer range in conjunction with 6mm hidden fasteners.
How much gap do you leave between deck boards?
Leaving gaps between composite decking is critical as this provides space for the expansion of materials in hot weather and allows for proper drainage.
We recommend either a 3mm or 6mm gap between boards - this is governed by the size of the hidden fasteners that you are using.
