Designed by Patel Taylor Architects and brought to life by Avanton, Coda is a premier residential development in Battersea, featuring the Royal Academy of Dance as a distinguished resident. This 2-acre site includes 299 contemporary apartments, communal gardens, and a state-of-the-art headquarters for the Royal Academy. Including the Newley unveiled Terrace Collection, designed by Gordon Duff & Linton, offering 25 luxurious apartments with balconies boasting impressive views of London. Inspired by luxury resorts, the show apartment showcases natural materials and warm green tones, creating a retreat-like ambiance.

Project Breakdown

For the 3,500 m² of outdoor balconies and terraces at Coda, the designers sought the perfect material that would uphold the luxury feel of a high-rise resort-inspired apartment block while maintaining the highest safety requirements. They needed decking for 299 apartments, including the exclusive Terrace Collection, designed for discerning clientele. The chosen decking had to enhance the elegance and sophistication of the development, ensuring durability and compliance with the highest fire safety standards essential for high-rise buildings.

The Solution

For the luxury apartment balconies and terraces at Coda, Pro-Grip 8019 Aluminium Decking and Non-Combustible Substructure were selected to perfectly fit the brief for the contemporary development. This choice met the designers' goal of achieving the highest quality and standards while adhering to stringent safety requirements. The Pro-Grip 8019 solution ensured durability and compliance with fire safety regulations, making it ideal for the high-rise luxury apartments, including the exclusive Terrace Collection.
