In this project, two adjacent Cambridge properties required complete deck refurbishment. The old timber decks and substructures were beyond repair, and the rooftops were waterproofed with a liquid membrane before rebuilding. The goal was to design terraces that felt modern yet sympathetic to the historic character of the buildings, while offering long-term, low-maintenance utility.

The clients chose Marble Frontier composite decking for its subtle light grey tones that complement the brick façades. The boards include solid protective capping, a 25-year warranty, and slip-resistance suitable for open-air terraces. Installed by CB1 Group, the refurbishment covers 73 sqm, including new stairs and structural frame replacement.
